Mahabalipuram is a landmark place that has been alluring people from all over to South India. Having archaeological remains and group of monuments that can be traced back to 5th – 3rdBCE, there has been evidence of several roman coins that shows the existence of trade and commerce with the west. Mahabalipuram is popular for  group of monuments that where built during the times of Pallava dynasty between 7th and 8th century BCE. There are about 400 plus ancient monuments and temples in this region. It has been recognised as UNESCO world heritage site due to its rich archaeological remains. This one day tour from Chennai to Mahabalipuram focuses on popular sites such as Mahabalipuram Shore Temple, the Pancha rathas and Arjunas penance by Car.

09:00 am : Meet our driver at the hotel and proceed for your day trip to Mahabalipuram. The distance from Chennai to Mahabalipuram is 56 km; takes approximately 1 hr 30 min to reach Mahabalipuram.

10:30 am: Mahabalipuram seashore temple. Explore the temple and proceed for the next.

11:30 am: Dakshina Chitra – lively museum one must visit.

12:10 pm: Arjuna Penance – ancient sculpture.

02:00 pm: Pancha Rathas - Inspiring monolithic scluptures built during Pallava dynasty

03:00 pm: Crocodile bank - is the biggest crocodile sanctuary
